According to that article, Alan Hirsch claims..."We're still unsure why, but sweet aromas like pineapple create an instant feeling of satiety"
He also said that the sweet fragrances of berries act as a natural appetite suppressant by activating the hypothalamus, the part of the brain that controls hunger.
